Dear International Students,
The last ISTEP-IS (English Proficiency Exam for Newly-registered International Students) of this term will be held tomorrow (Friday, March 15, 2024) in FLED HALL COMPUTER LAB (20) at 11.00. Since this is the last exam until September, every newly-registered international student who hasn't taken any exams before is eligible to take it.
Students should be in their classrooms at least 15 minutes before the exam. Bring exam materials such as a pencil, eraser, etc. You must also present an identity card (Student Card, National Identity Card, Passport, Driver's License, etc.) at the beginning of the exam.
On the exam date, you will take an online Cambridge Placement Test (CEPT Reading and Listening) at school. Also, you will take a writing exam (just after the computer one) to prove your Academic Writing skills. In the Writing Exam, you will be asked to write an academic essay composed of at least four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Your essays will be graded based on content, organization, coherence, vocabulary range and accuracy, grammatical range and accuracy, and punctuation. Please make sure to take both exams (CEPT and Writing) on the exam day. If you do not take both exams, your score will be calculated as 0.
