Dear International Students,
The last ISTEP (English Proficiency Exam) for NEW-COMING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023 in the computer labs at the Vadi Campus. Students who have completed their registration but have not taken the ISTEP are eligible to take the exam. The eligibility list with your student IDs and detailed/latest information on exam time/place will be uploaded to the website one day before the exam. There might be changes about time and place, so please check the announcements on the website regularly.
Students should be in their classrooms and ready to take the exams at least 15 minutes before the exam. Please do not forget to bring exam materials such as a pencil, eraser, etc. You must present an identity card (Student Card, National Identity Card, Passport, Driver's License, etc.) at the beginning of the exam.
On the exam date, you will first take an online Cambridge Placement Test (CEPT Reading and Listening) at school. Then, you will take a writing exam to prove your Academic Writing skills. In the Writing Exam, you will be asked to write an academic essay composed of at least four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Your essays will be graded based on content, organization, coherence, vocabulary range and accuracy, grammatical range and accuracy, and punctuation. Please make sure to take both exams (CEPT and Writing) on the exam day. If you do not take the writing exam, your writing score will be calculated as 0.

P.S. If you have taken ISTEP before or provided any certificates to show your English proficiency, you WILL NOT take this exam.
P.S.2 This is the last exam that you can take before the semester starts. If you do not take this one, you will be automatically assigned to a PREP class.
Sevgili Uluslararası Öğrenciler,
Yeni kaydolan ULUSLARARASI ÖĞRENCİLER için son ISTEP (İstinye Üniversitesi İngilizce Yeterlilik Sınavı), 06 Ekim 2023 Cuma günü Vadi Kampüs’ de bilgisayar laboratuvarlarında yapılacaktır. Kayıtlarını tamamlamış ancak henüz ISTEP sınavına girmemiş öğrenciler bu sınava girmelidir. Sınav gününden bir gün önce, sınavı almaya uygun öğrencilerin bir listesi ve sınav saati/yeri hakkındaki en güncel ve detaylı bilgiler internet sitemize yüklenecektir. Sınavla ilgili değişiklikler olabileceğinden internet sitemizdeki duyuruları düzenli bir şekilde takip etmelisiniz.
Öğrenciler sınavdan en az 15 dakika önce sınıflarında hazır olmalıdır. Lütfen kalem, silgi vb. sınav malzemelerini yanınızda getirmeyi unutmayınız. Sınav başlangıcında bir kimlik (Öğrenci Kartı, Nüfus Cüzdanı, Pasaport, Ehliyet vb.) ibraz etmeniz gerekmektedir.
Sınav tarihinde, önce okulda çevrimiçi Cambridge Yerleştirme Sınavına (CEPT Okuma ve Dinleme) gireceksiniz. Ardından, Akademik Yazma becerilerinizi kanıtlamak için bir yazma sınavına gireceksiniz. Yazma Sınavında bir giriş, iki gelişme ve bir sonuç olmak üzere en az dört paragraftan oluşan bir akademik makale yazmanız istenecektir. Makaleleriniz içerik, organizasyon, tutarlılık, kelime çeşitliliği ile doğruluğu, gramer çeşitliliği ile doğruluğu ve noktalama işaretlerine göre derecelendirilecektir. Lütfen sınav gününde her iki sınava da (CEPT ve Yazma) girdiğinizden emin olunuz. Yazma sınavına girmezseniz yazma puanınız 0 olarak hesaplanacaktır.

Not: Sınava daha önceki bir tarihte girmişseniz ya da muafiyet için bir belge teslim etmişseniz bu sınava girmeyiniz.
Not 2: Bu, dönem başlamadan önceki son sınavdır. Bu sınava girmediğiniz takdirde direkt olarak bir hazırlık sınıfına yerleştirilirsiniz.
