Deniz Çınar (he/him) graduated from Boğaziçi University Western Languages and Literatures department with minors in Film Studies and American Studies. His primary area of research is Turkish Westerns of the 1960s and 1970s and the politics of Turkish film genres. His work on collaborative research practices in theatre and performance research was published in the Journal of Dramatic Theory and Criticism. His critical study of Jewish-Turkish theatre history and historiography is forthcoming in the journal Theatre and Performance Notes and Counternotes.
