Dear International Students,
As you know, The last ISTEP (English Proficiency Exam) for newly-registered international students will be held tomorrow (Friday, October 6, 2023) in the computer labs at the Vadi Campus. You can find attached below the eligibility list with your student IDs, exam time, and computer labs where you are going to take the exam. Please take into consideration that there might be differences between the information on the list and that on your Registration Papers.
Students should be in their classrooms and ready to take the exams at least 15 minutes before the exam. Please do not forget to bring exam materials such as a pencil, eraser, etc. You must present an identity card (Student Card, National Identity Card, Passport, Driver's License, etc.) at the beginning of the exam.
On the exam date, you will first take an online Cambridge Placement Test (CEPT Reading and Listening) at school. Then, you will take a writing exam to prove your Academic Writing skills. In the Writing Exam, you will be asked to write an academic essay composed of at least four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Your essays will be graded based on content, organization, coherence, vocabulary range and accuracy, grammatical range and accuracy, and punctuation. Please make sure to take both exams (CEPT and Writing) on the exam day. If you do not take the writing exam, your writing score will be calculated as 0.

P.S. If you believe you are eligible and cannot find your student ID on the list, send an e-mail to foreignlanguages@istinye.edu.tr as soon as possible.
P.S.2 This is the last exam that you can take before the semester starts. If you do not take this one, you will be automatically assigned to a PREP class.
